Newark Star-Ledger (New Jersey), "SUV Rollover caused by tire blowout" |
Two people were injured when their SUV struck a guardrail and rolled over twice on the Garden State Parkway yesterday, State Police said. Investigators determined that the red Chevrolet SUV had a tire blowout while in one of the southbound express lanes. The vehicle then struck a guard rail and shot across a median into the local lanes, according to State Police.
Powell said the SUV rolled over twice before it came to a stop. Firefighters called to the scene extricated the driver, who was hurt "seriously," according to Powell. The passenger, Powell said, suffered several cuts in the accident. Damage to the SUV was so severe, the model of the SUV could not immediately be determined, Powell said. |
